With The Blue Chevy's, we're going back 20 years to the early years of our festival. They were also present in 2023 when Gevarenwinkelfestival organized the finals of the Belgian Blues Challenge. They've been making music together for over 30 years. Founded in the late 1980s at Don Bosco in Haacht, their lineup has changed a few times since then, but their combination of rhythm & blues, rock & roll, and Americana remains a hallmark. And that's what Kris Bries (vocals & harp), Frederic Martello (guitar & vocals), Philippe Martello (percussion), Jean-Luc Cremens (bass guitar), Sven Smekens (guitar), Kim Vandeweyer (trumpet), and Koen Desloovere (sax) are showcasing again, exactly 20 years after their first appearance at Gevarenwinkel.
